I was an urban guy until the dog voodoo got me. Now when I'm at the sporting goods store, instead of heading to the running shoes section, I go straight to the gun and knife counter.
Tim, we are doing it that way.....and we are not over using the furminator...so that isn't it....
Eddie just hates being de-sheded sp?..likes brushing..but not grooming.
it just keeps coming out...sigh.

If you find the REAL way to keep your home hairless....PLEASE share. I have found shop vac-ing the dog once a day is a real help but now I cant shop vac anything without him bugging the crap out of me trying to get his vac on.
My girlfriend is allergic to dog hair, and while she adores Danke, can't handle hair in the bedroom.
It was Danke-eviction or Danke-grooming.
We are lucky to have a terrific groomer near the house. They use the FURminator deshedding solution when they wash her, and then brush her through with the shedding blade.
She sheds heavily for a day or two after she comes home, as the shedding solution loosens all of the older undercoat. After that, she doesn't shed at all for the rest of the month.
She has really taken a liking to one of the groomers there, and seems to enjoy her monthly grooming.
There's also the added bonus of them carrying high-quality, grain-free pet food and treats.
Now that my girlfriend's cat has moved in with us, I'm able to pick up food for her, and get the dog groomed, in one trip. Hooray for multitasking!
