Aaron- Unfortunately Starbucks is the only place to get coffee where I live. The only other option would be the local gas station where the stuff is probably older than I am. Now that I have my new maker though...hopefully trips to Starbucks are a thing of the past
I feel ya.
I was miserable in New York. Nothing but Starbucks and 7elevens. I loved everything else about NY, especially the food. The coffee left me missing home, however.
You guys have convinced me, I will be buying one of these as soon as we recover from christmas. There is a starbucks literally at the end of our block and it is just too darn easy to stop in on my way to just abouy anywhere.
Am I the only person in the world who has never heard of this thing? Or maybe it's just an American hit?
Sounds pretty cool though. My New Years resolution is actually to stop spending like eight bucks every morning on a coffee, muffin and juice or whatever... How much does each cup average out to?
I quit drinking coffee 6 months ago and I'm still sleepy every morning until about 11 o'clock. I have noticed quite a savings from no more morning drive-thrus, but oh, HOW I MISS COFFEE.
Jennifer-Omg, it is the best invention ever! It has already saved us a ton just in the week I've had it. No more 5.00 coffee for me! They are a little pricey up front, but in the long run it is worth it. I've gotten spoiled though...regular coffee tastes like crap now! :p
Phaedra- the price per cup really varies depending on what k-cup you buy. There are hundreds of brands and flavors but overall it looks like it will average 1-3 per cup.
Looks like I may be buying myself a late X mas present... I'm a native NW'erner... Born and raised across the water from Seattle, there is a coffee shop literally on every other corner in my home town. Currently a great one 1 block from where I'm living. If this thing really makes coffee as good as an espresso machine, I may have to invest in one! I can see the savings adding up, easily.
