Well, those of us w/o BSs may have to modify our aspirations somewhat. But, the poor carpenter blames the tool, we'll just have to do our best with what we have!

Betty, I don't know anyone on this forum who doesn't have some level of BS!!! Hehehehe. Many of us don't have a BC however. LOL!
I'm in on this. I desperately need to teach both mine the formal retrieve; otherwise, I'll never get past the Novice class. I won't be able to post video, but I'll definitely give progress reports.
Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I think I'm going to try and do it with each dog. One behavior per dog each month. So a total of training 36 new behaviors
I know they can do it. It's my end I'm not so sure about.
And Alan, what a great question. So as a training “group” would we all look at the same behavior and work on that for the month? I know some may be further ahead than others (Mara) but even if we were all to start out with say the “Sit, Stand and Down”, I’m sure there could be some great discussion on proper techniques. For those who have it solid, increased distractions and new areas could be added into the mix.
Just a thought sparked by Alan’s question, but regardless of the structure, count me in.
I was thinking of training whatever you and your dog were ready for. That way if you needed to cover the basics (sit, down, stay, etc) you could work on those. Or if you already had those down you could do something else. Perhaps related to a job or sport you may be training your dog for. Or maybe you just want to train your dog to dog 12 different pet tricks.
If people want a suggested behavior/idea (or maybe a couple to choose from) for the month we can do that, otherwise just figure out what you need to/want to train for the month and do it!
