Human treat machines are often just what is needed, IMO.
It depends on what you're looking for: Are you counterconditioning for a dog who has developed a negative perception of someone (or a category of "someones"), or OTOH are you trying to dial back extreme rambunctious enthusiasm? Because for "A," becoming a source of HV food can be a really fast attitude-adjuster. LOL
Maybe we also need a chocolate emoticon... A nice, big box of chocolate to attach to any advice we know is going to hurt someone's feelings, but which needs to be said anyway!
AND a picuture of a pair of panties "in a bunch" with the red-slash across them meaning "no getting your panties in a bunch".

Only problem is that you can't taste it Chocolate solves most all problems... in any shape, form, or size (although the bigger the better
I had this problem and fixed it by (if it was the excited pee) ignoring as much as possible for the first few min of being in the presence of the dog and being very calm. (Zuki had this problem when she was younger)
And the other kind I would slip treats as I walked by not making any other contact or looking at the dog. Just a come and go.
