Honestly he does not get much for walks because he is so agressive except for the fetch in the house .when we do walk he constly trys to lead the walk I do gout and in the doors first. I've tryed crazy walking with him turninaround all the time but hbe still leads ,if I take him on bike rides he is fine but I can't do that in the snow , and he does go to sleep after fetch or bike rides
So most days, he gets no real exercise? No matter what else happens, this is a huge problem. And no trainer can fix this part.
How are you at jogging or fast walking? How would you be at starting out with him at an easy trot and then jogging with him beside you? How old is he? (How old are YOU? Are you going to have a heart attack? )
Concurrently: Do you know enough about marker training to teach loose-leash in the house with no distractions?
And: Can you do frequent but short basic ob lessons inside, no distractions, every day, to work his brain?
And YES, good that you will follow up on Sarah's info!
And for now, keep the dog separated from guests. Period.
Put a pack with one water bottle in each side and gone on a 2 hour walk...just walk with no stopping and just leaving him be out in front?
Then done the same for 3 days?
Then you could drop back to one hour a day or even 2 45 min walks.
The thing is that he has energy overload and WILL NOT be able to "HEAR" anything you say.
He won't be able to "HEAR" anything at all till He gets that energy out...it will take a few days.
You have the muzzle so just walk through anything that happens...don't stop to let him potty or sniff......
After the first three days you can work on getting him to walk at your side.
I would normally recommend putting on a prong, but you say that makes it worse...so you will just have to go for long slow tiring him out.
Contact that training club so you have hands on help.....

" I guess from my own point of view as someone who lives in the same state as this dog ( and might have a run in...), I would rather know an expert is dealing with the dog in person. "
OK, that made me LOL.
Out loud.
And of course, you're right. Perhaps your contact info will be exactly the impetus needed.
I thought he was younger...so you could do 2 water bottles in each side of the pack.... More bang for your buck!
Google mountainsmith dog pack "2011"
They are not much at all and great for the dog to wear.
Oh, to answer your question about being in the crate too long per the videos....you are seeing the result of the program being executed incorrectly...the dog must be exercised for at least 2 45 min walks a day to tire it out for the program to work.
Without the proper exercise the program is cruel and inhumane with frightening results......
But you have figured that part out.....
Good job on the responses...and contact that club!!!
This situation scares me. This is a strong, powerful dog. Please, Michael, you need to start implementing some real changes and training NOW before someone gets hurt or killed. That person could be you, or it could be a neighbor kid or another dog- and your dog would most certainly suffer the consequences too. You have gotten some great advice here. I have learned a ton from members on this board. They are an amazing resource. Start exercising him per Willie's suggestion, start training him, do groundwork, find a good trainer.
He's already described as handler aggressive, so aggressive at the vet you can't take him there unless he is sedated, aggressive to anyone in the house, dominant, stubborn, and 'untrainable'. What kind of life is this for the dog? What kind of life is this for you or your friends? A dog that will play fetch is a dog you can train. Get on it.
