I have a Clyde/TB X blue roan that was my x-country competition horse for many years. He has been completely retired (from any riding) for the last 6 years. He is now 29. I've had him since he was 4. He is a crazy boy & would jump the moon or anything else that I put in front of him. He is my forever 'main man'. I don't have any on line photos of him to post...but he is one handsome dude of a different color.
The only thing that he loved almost as much as jumping was galloping thru the water at the beach.
He is a very 'vocal' horse & would toss his head & squeel like a pig when excited & trumpet like a stallion when really over the top excited. He would make a growly sound when he wanted his head & I'd was holding him back. Never met another horse as vocal in all my years & I've ridden since I was 6. Very funny guy, for sure.

I've owned horses since I was eleven years old and my wonderful grandparents bought me my first one. When I married my husband 26 years ago, I had Morgans and he had previously been involved in Arabians. Somehow, we ended up with Quarter Horses. Go figure.
We had as many as five at one point and were actively showing. We never got involved in breeding, but we did buy a pregnant mare one time, so that was our one and only experience raising a foal.
We're down to just one, a buckskin Quarter Horse mare that we've owned for 22 of her 23 years. Her registered name is "She Has Itall." Modest, huh! We just call her Jessy. Back in her younger days (and ours, too), she was a show horse. I showed her in western pleasure and my husband showed her in halter. Nowadays, she's a lawn ornament, but she has a home with us for the remainder of her life.

Toddlers sure ARE biohazards. They can really cook up some virus! Passes around from kid to kid, by the time it comes to your house it is virulent!
Gee! I forgot about that new future horse I bought. Will be born in april. Hanoverian by Sir Wanabi out of a DON FREDERICO, LAURIES CRUSADER XX mare. Will be home in september.
I will have a toddler and the homonal teen, whoo, hoo!!

I have a paint mare Medora, I bought out west as a 2yr old. Saved her from slaughter. She will be 14 in May. Trail rides forever, she will go and go. I have had horses all my life but never did any showing (one of my regrets). She is sooo much fun to ride but can be a handful, lots of spirit.

I have three A saddlebred, a quarter horse, and a missouri fox trotter. I ride western and used to do barrels, but now long trail rides are my preference. I rode english in college too and I managed a hunter/jumper barn, but now I prefer western.

I've been at a show all week so am late - but I have 2 1/2 - I figure 2 minis equal 1/2 right? 1 is a sorrel AQHA 12yo cutting bred rope horse gelding - Rocky (Colonel High Brow), next is Grace (Dunit Gracefully) a smokey buckskin AQHA reiner 8 yo, a black mini w/4 wht legs and spot on withers gelding - Pepper - my driving buddy and the little crap head - Royal, a double reg mini that looks like a haflinger, 10 mo colt.
I ride western and love to work cattle and ride reiners - big adrenaline rush for me - kinda like motorcycles to some, I guess.

I used to have a TB but had to sell him when I went to college. I did the hunters and evented with him. I still ride at least once a week and will have a horse again when I can afford it.
