I did think it odd because those of you feeding raw diets are giving a lot more protein. Thanks Connie
Could I ask one more thing here... In the case that you had only the choice of a low quality dog food and cat food might you go with cat food for your dog?
You would have to link me to both.
Like Beniful,Iams, Proplan and ....Well I don't know cause I don't do cats Something that you could expect to find along these lines in the same store.
I think I just saw a ranking of the worst foods and sadly, each one of these was on the list, I think Beneful was the number one worst food. I will try to find the source for this info.
Eggs it is! And fresh right out of the coop... doesn't get much better than that, does it? They get one raw once or twice a week so I'm sure cooked will not be a "surprise" to anyone's GI tract. Chicken is thawing on the counter but I pulled it out too late!
LOL! I just told Doug the dogs were going to have cooked eggs for dinner and he said "I just pulled off a partially thawed leg quarter and gave them their dinner" Talk about the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Falcon just came in all happy from the garage so I guess he handled coolllllld chicken okay...

I don't have cats, either.
If you linked me to a certain dog food and a certain cat food, I could probably answer you. Not sure what answer I could give to this list. Well, yes, there kind of is -- I wouldn't choose to feed a Purina food to any animal. JMO.
But as to whether a cat food is better than a dog food, the question really has to be which dog food and which cat food.
OK I will have to see if I can find an example....

If I wanted to give an entire egg meal in an emergency and it was not a used-to-it food, I'd give mostly cooked whites with a couple of yolks. I'd way rather avoid than fix diarrhea. (I didn't realize this was an actual "today" question. )
I'd probably break a half dozen into a pan but include only two yolks.

The only reason I ask was because I don't remember seeing anything better than Beniful in Guatemala. (I used to think that it was great stuff)
I understand about the work part... never seems to be enough time for anything other than getting the animals taken care of and trying to keep everyone else happy at the same time!
