Sweet work Ana! I didn't get a chance to see it until just now, he looks great... we all know that it's harder for the dog to keep close to you at a slow pace, especially moving back and forth!
I hope Faroh is that good in a couple months. Of course, we all know about my patented "No Patience Training" method - so I'm sure he'll never be up to Haydn's standards!
That was an inspirational video for me... I haven't gotten my dvd's yet, and don't have a club, so with my first dog, I get lost on what to do, but that was VERY NICE, and VERY good to see how you interacted, and your dogs focus and stuff. Thanks for the share..... Danielle

How do you get the dog to "recognize" the leg? Or keep the hind end where it belongs? ...
1. "Find the leg" exercise. You'll have to have done the foundation in leash pressure work and backing in a straight line first. The dog follows the leash into a proper position and should be able to back up following the leash pressure.
2. Lateral leash pressure is used to swing the rear end. The dog should know how to follow the leash pressure and being able to pivot on the bucket (rubber touchpad) in heeling position following the leash cue.
