I usually give her one third of the chicken wing--this was the middle part. It was obviously too large to swallow whole (well, obvious to me) and she was chomping away.
Hi Kim,
I feed my 8 lb. MinPin chicken necks and backs and also turkey necks, cut into about 2" lengths. Why do you do wings? Around here they are, like, quadruple the price!!
I think the necks and backs "crunch" up into smaller, chunkier pieces than wing bones. I've never had any trouble with these bones, although the turkey necks are more of a challenge for her (she loves a challenge!)
Hell no he wouldn't stay! All that runnin', flappin' wings, and squawkin'! I don't even know if he would call off that.
With work, maybe. He'll recall off cats, rabbits and squirrels, but we've never dealt with chickens. I would never trust him with them, though.
But he wouldn't have stayed BEFORE he had raw chicken, either.
Same with squirrels. He would just like to kill them regardless. They taunt him with their words.
Can I borrow Turbo to get rid of the damn loud, obnoxious crows in my trees? I'd even fly him out First Class...ok, maybe just a really big plush carrier
Falcon HATES crows... he even has a "special" crow growl. If the front door is open, he'll lay in front of the glass storm door just enjoying the sunshine. However, I always know when the crows have arrived from his "very ticked off" low rumble.
Same for buzzards - he hates 'em! All other birds are okay, just not crows and buzzards.
I don't think the Pinker has made the connection between live chickens and chicken in his bowl yet.
IME on the farm once that connection is made only hot wire protects.
I'm thinking the feathers might be a deterrent! Watching Turbo gnash that dove --
I hope my dog doesn't figure it out.
