A friend and I worked Ripley too hard and repetitiously on agility jumps, he got tired of it, shut down and now will only jump in what we call forest agility (stumps and logs and fallen trees, picnic tables, etc.) I feel bad that I broke him.
Pretty much, yup. He's very willing to give anything a shot. He's to the point now where I'll say Hup, and point in a general direction, and he'll tear off jumping anything he can find with all the enthusiasm he can muster. He's kinda nuts. I've worked him over agility equipment on my own, and he did great. In one session he was doing weaves with channel wires, and could pick out 'walk it!' (dog walk), teeter, and A-frame (climb). When our SchH career is over (Hell, it has not even started yet, and listen to me!), I'd like to get him seriously into agility. He'll do great.
I have a friend who trains HARD in agility as well- she's turned several of her collies off the sport. Then again, she also has the youngest breeder/HOT MACH Collie in the Nation. I guess it totally depends on the dog.

Edit reason: edit our SchH career.
Just catching this Kelly and Aaron. What a great video!! Koenig is spectacular, so fun to watch and those graphics (or whatever they call them) really nice job.
Didn't see any poop, not sure what that's about but I miss a lot.
You'd prolly like it CJ. You've got multiple dogs... lol. Koenig and Danke were off leash, playing after some training. They both decided they had to poop NOW, and I happened to have the video camera on. It was worth a giggle. (or 4)
A few more, from yesterday. This park has cooler stuff. I would have got more video, but didn't bring extra batteries.
These video's are missing Aaron's amazing editing touch.
Koenig jumping a tree stump.
He'd never been asked to jump this one before. Lots of distractions nearby- 22 acre dog park just around the corner, a road, my kids, and a playground 200' away. Jumping a garbage can
My favorite. This thing is at least 4 1/2 feet tall. Koenig is such a good dog. RIGHT next to a busy playground, with kids on swings, and a park full of birds/squirrles. Oh- and there was a 'killer' chihuahua about 10' behind me, it barked at us for over an hour. I wanted to step on it.
