The Weasel and I went to Georgia last month for her date with Beau. Judging by her size and her martyred sighs all went well and we should have a litter about mid December.
That means you are going to be torturing me with puppy pictures and videos at Christmas!!! (The last litter you started while they were still in-utero!!)
That's OK, though. Bring it on, Betty!! Bring it on!!
Oh Betty! Congrats Those pups are going to torture many of us that longingly look at your website. Your dogs are bred with such care that I think one could only hope to be a chosen home for one of your little aligators. Hoping that all goes well and that we on here can be strong and resist that gravitational pull towards your pups Can't wait to see the pictures!
Oh my. Congratulations on the successful breeding!!. It sounds like Christmas is going to be wonderful.
10 litters. Wow, a comfy spot on the couch for sure, or like you say, her preference of guarding it. What a great girl.
Betty, can I ask how many pups Annabelle has given you? I reluctantly sat through that entire Walter Martin video, a well respected German breeder and he indicated that around 50 - 60 pups was all that a female would produce. Have you found this to be your experience?

Oh no, this will be Annabelle's 4th Litter, not her 10th. That was bad wording on my part.... <eek>
I really can't answer on the 50-60 pups but doing a quick mental count on some other kennels that breed a bit more then I do, and whose girls have larger litters I guess that sounds about right.

And I'm so happy you mentioned that CJ! I read it and thought what the heck, 10 litters? When I read my post, I thought "Oh crud, that's where 10 litters came from....."

I'm such a dufas at times.
Oh geez Betty, I'm the dufus here.

She has given us some outstanding pups and has earned her place guarding the couch 10 times over
Reading this statement over again, I see where I took it totally out of context. I can be such a literal person, AKA: big time dufus.
Thanks for the info though. That statement has kind of stuck with me and don't know why I'm questioning it, I guess it's just kind of interesting - to me anyway. Have to think something productive happened in those three hours.
