The scan of the pups is amazing! the last litter my breeder had showed 4 pups.....what it didn't show was the other seven backed up behind them!
OMG bite your tongue Tracey! I do not need 11 puppies I was hoping for between 4-6 puppies and figured that is what Frost would give me based on her mother. Her mother was bred 3 times and had two litters of 4 and one litter of 6.

When we were doing the beta testing for the streaming videos, Ryan wanted us to test some of the longer videos so I chose the Walter Martin one. It said something about one of the best German Shepherd breeders of all time.
It was a while ago now and I don’t remember a lot (much of it actually over my head because I have no interest in breeding) but there were a couple of things that I’m sure will always stick with me.
And don’t quote me on this one because this was my ½ brain sparking some interest at about hour 2 in a 4 hour, often grainy and hard to understand, lecture on breeding.
But I believe he said a dam will only ever produce about 50 pups in her lifetime. So if he sees a great breeding bitch, he always asks how many pups she produced so far. If he’s told she’s a great producer and has had 3 big litters of say 11 pups, he knew she only had about 20 left and the next couple of breedings would only produce 3 or 4. He would pass that one over.
