I know this is a time crunch, so this may not help, but I do know a few people in Southern Illinois (Carbondale area) who might be able to help if it really comes down to it. A monetary donation would be key, even if only to cover gas prices. They could at least cut some hours off Jamie's driving time.
Jamie- PM me if nothing else is working out and I'll contact my friends in Carbondale.
I will also be flying through Chicago over the holidays and have a fairly long layover at O'Hare. If some other person in Illinois could keep Gambit and then transport him to the airport, he could fly with me on my flight, and I could pass him off to Jamie at Boston Logan. If there is some issue with shipping him alone otherwise.
It's a whole lot of logistics, but it could be done.
This is for Jamie and Gambit and I'm really biting my tongue...

... This is for Jamie and Gambit and I'm really biting my tongue...
Everyone is.
I wonder if an overnight stop for sleep before returning will help.
I'm afraid not, though, because she needs help driving out there and has a limited arrival window.
I think we need someone who will help drive, even if they need a little cash for taking time off (or whatever).
Did not want to do this but this was a bit unexpected
I'm supposed to pick up Gambit on friday. I'm leaving tonight to do it. As of last night at late o' clock my secondary driver had to back out, this person was my last chance in the first place, I'm officially out of people I can ask I know personally to do the drive with me. I've got one more favor to try to call in but it's a very long shot and this person is not the best choice (history of falling asleep at the wheel, which will make sleeping in the car, a requirement for me, difficult....)
Is ANYONE along the way (preferably closer to my end in New York) who is free this weekend. My secondary driver is kind enough to still let me borrow his car which will be able to make the drive without issue, and he says he can do the first four hours or so with me. I assumed I'd have a second driver at this point, I'm not extremely confident I'll be able to stay awake the other 13 hours and there is not much room for stopping along this trip.
I predict we can make it back on Sunday with no problems (power drive there, take a few hours to rest a bit along the way on the way back).
please PM me
Thank You

Gosh, can’t tell you how helpless I feel reading this and being so far away. Has anyone contacted the breeder to see if he has anybody, in this particular area, that may be able to help out?
If I remember correctly, I think this was them: http://www.mastockmalinois.com/
I'll be watching this thread to see if there's anything I can possibly do.
Good luck Jaimie, I hope this comes together.

Why is Chicago mentioned, I was thinking help on the East coast was needed, I don't see the town listed in which Gambit is currently living. I live an hour west/south of Chicago and would certainly help..pick up, hold, transport, donate, etc. and am not working this weekend, let me know.

Could you PM Jamie?
You are right that it's driving help from the East Coast that's needed, but at this point I hope that all kinds, any kinds, of help offers are being PMed to Jamie.
THANK YOU.
