At the present, seven leather leashes and two cotton web long lines. I have a strong preference for latigo leather. It's soft and supple yet strong and durable. I love the way a well-broken-in latigo leash feels. It has just the right combination of weight and flexibility and provides great tactile feedback.
I have three identical ones that I got 25 years or so ago from my very first dog trainer. They're handmade, may have started out 3/4 inch wide but are now more like 5/8 inch, about five feet long, sturdy snap. Those are the ones I use for everyday use, going for a walk, going to the vet, or most other public places.
I also have two that are 3/8 inch wide, one four feet and one six feet, that I use for formal training sessions and competition. And I have two different styles of braided ones that are shorter, about 30 inches, but they have not yet broken in to my satisfaction so I rarely use them. (I guess that's why they're not broken in!)
8-10 5 or 6 foot leashes
1 20 foot drag
1 15 foot drag
1 double dog lead (I use it a lot)
2-3 retractable leads that I rarely use cause every time I do it seems my dad is around and they end up going around him = I get in trouble.
lots of nylon webbing of and swivel clips to make more leashes or other contraptions with just in case I need to.
