Not so much me but Bob is adamant that he has to have his Miracle Whip. And only MW, ever. I'll put the 3 or 4 shovel fulls in a batch of potato salad and I have to hand him the jar when he has his. It's never enough. But that's funny, I too thought, until this thread, that it WAS mayonnaise. This is actually one of my favorite recipes. http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Crab-And-Artichoke-Dip-Recipezaar_4 Does this not mean its mayonnaise? Just a brand name though like Hellmans. Are they really two different products? Oh, and totally agree. Has to be the glass jar. Got the squeeze bottle once and not sure what it was, but never again.

No, it's not mayonnaise with another brand name (it's called "salad dressing" on the jar) .... it doesn't have enough oil to meet the requirement for labeling as mayonnaise. It also has more sugar than any mayonnaise I've ever tasted, but not sure if that is part of the legality of calling a commercial product "mayonnaise."
