Wow, lots to take in - Hello Bryan, thank you for your experience with the treats and I will check out the food rolls too.
I have a bait bag - I am starting to feel so professional (giggle)
You are right Connie, my tiny girl will not want to be left out of anything and as she thinks she is a pit bull, well, you can see where that could land us all.
I ordered some things from LB and will need to order more so will try a few different flavors and then the shipping will be less - true?
I just set up the Expen and I can't believe how easy it is to put into whatever shape you want. My room is tiny and I can make it work - I was worried about that.
Counting down the days - then soon the hours. It's all good.
Ahem - next week I might be singing a very different tune but I am very relieved to have so many experienced people on this site to guide me. I hope you all know that anything I do with my dog, any decisions I make, are all on me, not you.
I appreciate everyone's time to teach an old dog some new tricks - hahaha

With all your preparation just remember to have fun. It's way to easy to make training into work.
As to old dogs learning new tricks I hope I never stop learning!

Thanks Bob - I am sure I will have fun - my natural instinct is to have too much fun (grin) I have read up on your talents and hope you are open to me picking your brain.
Yes Wendy, puppy breath - if I could bottle it and send you some I would.
I have gotten a lot of pm with excellent advice and words of welcome and lists of things I will need - and I am so happy you are so friendly to a newbie
I will pm people who are OK with me doing so - still finding my way around and amazed at how many things I did, out of love but ignorance, wrong and now I am going to do my best to do things right.
I just wish I had found this forum before - my tiny 5 year old is getting healthy for the first time in 3 years and I owe it to some ppl who walked me through how to feed her, treat her allergies (food, fleas, environmental), and she is happy I found this site too.

I'm always open to PMs. As to picking my brain, you'll need a very small pick and a good aim!
Listen to everyone and ask, ask!

..... sometimes if you need a quick answers PM's are best on the weekends.
Also, always feel free to do both, as well as make new threads for different topics.
Wendy is right that weekends in particular, folks tend to disappear to the training field. So any time a thread seems to have been missed, bump it, or PM me ..... make some noise,
PS
The reason I bring up new threads is for ease in finding a topic ..... for you and for others. Puppy diet, for example, would be hard to find under this thread's title. So don't hesitate to start a new one when it's a different topic.
PPS
Oooooh ...... one more day!

I found a new tiny pick for Bob's brain and I have bi-focals so look out Bob
Wendy, you are on my OK to pm list now - I hope that's OK
Thank you Connie - I will need to start a few new threads at some point. I will start a puppy diet thread in a few days - I will keep him on what he's being fed for awhile so he will not lose everything all at once. But I will need to start stocking things in larger quantities and will be looking for advice there and how to change him over to raw.
I know I keep writing thank you but it's sincere. I have been reading so many threads and gathering info and wondering why something that should have been common sense isn't common to me. There are hundreds of years of combined wisdom on this site and I am taking wicked advantage of it all.
One more day!

Maggie, I am so excited for you! Please post pics as soon as possible!
I was in your shoes a while back, stumbled serendipitously upon this website and web board, purchased lots of DVDs-now we have an extremely well behaved, well trained, well socialized 2 year old. I shudder to think how she could have turned out otherwise. (and what horrible diet she may have had to endure)
Listen to these folks...they really know what they are talking about!! I have proof laying calmly in a down/stay at my feet as I type

Hello christy!
Thank you for the warm welcome. Your girl is beautiful I can't wait for the day to pass so I can go and get him. Ohh I will be taking pics of him - the poor little guy will have to get used to having my cameras pointed at him. The lenses are huge and intimidating so I will only take a few each day until he gets used to it. But then look out - I will flood the place
I listen to everything and copy and paste it (to have everything in one place) to read over and over. It was a shock to find out how much has changed in the world of raising healthy dogs and training them. However, like you, I found this site and am ecstatic I have.
Lol Connie - I am afraid I count you into the hundreds of years of wisdom too (evil grin)
