I am heading out after work to help try and catch pets and/or triage injured. I am just amazed at the number of birds that have been collected - parrots, at least one cockatoo and dozens of parakeets and tiels.
The Bella Foundation is helping to pay for any vet care, extensive surgeries etc, for tornado victims. Their main mission is helping people afford surgeries, extensive vet care for their animals, but they are taking on a new mission with the tornado dogs and cats.

I sent you some money (only $50 so far) to give to the Bella Foundation or whoever you prefer, or to help buy crates and food for the immediate need, right now today, from our club, and I am going over tonight to physically ask those members whose email I didn't have.

I will have printouts with me, of the photos you posted.
I'm not above that.

Just found an update on that little dog! Her owner is alive and looking for her! The sharing of the photo caught the attention of the owners sister! No word on who the dog was actually sitting with.

Wow! That's incredibly fortunate for the dog and owner!
Lots of animals re-united and even more animals still being found alive. Two little Chihuahuas were found today in their crushed crate (it was under a car) but they are safe and sound. Two more large dogs were found in a wire crate unharmed in a debris pocket! (I really wanna know who made that crate!)
Here is an article calling the animal SAR effort the fastest and most widespread of its' kind in a natural disaster.
