Because of this thread, I've looked at a couple clips of "Big Bang Theory" on Youtube. Gee, maybe I should have been watching this show all along. Being a science geek myself and a fan of (some) science fiction, it sounds like it may be right up my alley. I'll have to start watching reruns, I guess!

I saw this happen on another board. There ended up being a long thread of BBT clips and reminiscences.
I didn't discover this started-in-2007 sitcom until 2012! No idea how I missed it.
But that's OK, because they are all in reruns now and easily seen. I'm sure I have now seen every one!

And remember the award ceremony when Penny gives Sheldon wine so he has the courage to give his acceptance speech, he gets so sloshed he displays a full moon for all the astro physicists, "and here's Uranus!!" LOL!!
I watched the clips....and a couple more, and a couple more, LOL. Yep, I think I'll start watching it. I'm only a year or so behind you, Connie. I pretty much gave up on mainstream TV years ago when the reality craze hit. About the same time, most of the sitcoms became very unfunny (IMO), and the dramas mostly became what I like to call "autopsy shows." But I'll definitely start looking for BBT reruns.
Honestly Cheri, there are very few things on TV that actually make me belly laugh, but this show is gold! Some of my favourite episodes are with Sheldon’s mother, played by Laurie Metcalf, “Raaaaj is it?” so politically incorrect, it makes you gasp, but SO bloody funny!
So many brilliant one liners, you are going to love it!
