"ETA meaning there might be some other omega or anything else for that matter that dogs need and I'm not giving them"
If you include the green tripe you mentioned, and vary the muscle meat, and incorporate the additions/corrections I posted earlier in the thread, including the link to the RMB ratio/amount to base the diet on, then, to my knowledge, everything needed for a basic raw diet for a healthy dog has been mentioned.
I do give green tripe regularly and I will add the oils. And will cook all fish to be on the safe side.
And I only give eggs once in a blue.
And will add vitamin e

I will try actually understanding these topics. Nutrition is hard for me, it's one of those things I can read the sentence 5 times and still not get what it means.
And to be honest I'm not interested enough in it to figure it out. Again, to give programming as an example, that's something I enjoy and was able to self learn.
Nutrition I don't enjoy and don't have the desire to figure out.
So please forgive me lol for taking shortcuts and just asking what I should feed without trying to understand why.
Fine with me!
In the O.P., you said "Did I misunderstand raw? Or the above is correct and is considered to be complicated and requiring lots of research?" ..... a little hard to decipher but all in all kind of heading down a "research" road (for me eye, anyway).
I will be more than happy not to look up and link you to the science behind it.
There are many very good raw feeders here.
You can feel confident that answers to raw-feeding questions here are going to be good ones. Bad ones are challenged.

Thank you again)))))
" I will add the oils."
Fish oil is the important thing to take away from the Omega discussion.

Lol you made me laugh. The dumbed down version of omegas))))))

Lol no I didn't mean I was going to research. What I was TRYING to say was...
Is my understanding of raw correct and the simple rules above are what's meant when people say raw is complicated and requires research?
I was wrong it turns out, there IS more to it as you pointed out.
I'm not good with explaining myself, I'm sure that part of the reason why my threads go in circles a lot. I say one thing, mean another and goes downhill from there

IMO, the basic understanding of raw in your first post puts you ahead of many raw feeders.
Add fish oil and E, and forego raw salmon, and you're good to go.
If you like feeding eggs and want to include them more in the diet, just cook them. Then count cooked eggs as you would muscle meat. Eggs are a good cheap source of protein and are another opportunity for variety.
Feeding raw doesn't have to be complicated. It's interesting (to me) to understand the chemistry behind the "rules," but you don't have to. Just follow the guidelines of smart people like Connie.
