If not I will have to speak with breeder about keeping my deposit and forwarding puppy to somebody who can afford leave from ALL work... or maybe paying breeder to keep puppy for a few extra months.
Really? Most pups are raised by normal people who have jobs and a life outside of the puppy. You're making way too big a deal out of this. The pup will be fine.
Amen (SIGH)

I work full time - just raised two litters of puppies and held back one. It was A LOT of driving back and forth, but so worth it
So, once the puppies were 8 weeks, I had 3 left. 1 I was keeping, 1 I was bringing to Alaska to his new family and 1 I still had for sale (needed a working home).
I packed those puppies into crates in my truck and brought them to work with me. I pottied them at lunch and took them for walks, then back in the truck until after work.
Now that I only have my one keeper puppy, I still do the same thing. My two adults were raised like this. They are crated in the truck during the day, at lunch we train/swim/walk/hike and then back in the truck until after work.
Any chance that would work for you?
At 8 weeks none of my puppies could hold it for 5 hours, more like 3 1/2-4 hours. Even if they were tired and had 2 hours of free play before I left the house. BUT like someone else said, if the puppy has an accident it isn't the end of the world - but it will sure set you back if the puppy is going to the bathroom in that crate every day for a month.
If it were me, and I could not bring the puppy to work (even in the vehicle), I would opt for an xpen, one side end roll newspaper, other side bedding and play area. No food or water while I was gone. This way, if the puppy HAS to go, they will still learn to keep their bedding clean. By 12 weeks my puppies could go 5 hours as long as they were tired and water was restricted.
Good luck with your new pup!

No chance puppy can come with me.
It wouldn't really do any good anyways. As I have no lunch break, I am LEAVING to go home by lunch comes around.
I also do not really feel comfortable leaving a puppy outside of crate when I am gone.
I suppose you are all right. It has worked out for a lot of you. It should work out. Even if puppy has a few accident in crate for the first month.. I suppose my current dog was raised by terrible people, and never potties indoors.
So it should work out with my situation.
Wonder what cleaner I should pick up...

Can't wait to see pictures
You could just use an extra large crate and still have a "potty" area vs a bed area. I always put the bedding towards the front of the large crate and potty area in the back if I have to do this.
That way when I get home and the puppy runs to the front of the crate they are not walking in their business
I don't use any chemical cleaners with my dogs. My favorite combination is organic apple cider vinegar, water, doTerra's On Guard cleaner and Lemon Essential oil. However, I have NO carpet in my house (it was all taken out to avoid all the shampooing that would need to be done LOL)

Smart move .... the accidents are very rare, but with this danged wall-to-wall, any accident at all is a big fat nuisance.

Absolutely
Also, just the constant in and out of 8 dogs - in the fall and spring, I feel that cleaning my floors in just a waste of time LOL
I sweep the major stuff and pray for the ground to freeze so my hardwood floors can be mopped. That way they don't look like brown, "tree colored" and leaf colored marble hahaha

I have seriously contemplated just redoing my whole house in stainless steel with those rubber "pool change room" mats to walk on. All I would need is some disinfectant, a squeegee and a hose Mwahahahaha!
