Thank you for the encouragement. I have been encouraging him to rough house with me after our focus work at the park, at a pace he appears comfortable with. Giving me tugs back is becoming more common. I figure I will try to get him more comfortable during our play times, and if he never takes to it then oh well.:-) His talent seems to be in tracking anyways, and he is pretty darn obedient.
I will take him as far as he wants to go.
I will say that those tug games where handlers are swinging their dogs around and such looks super neat and fun! I sure hope he will let me try that with him someday!

Peter- I don't understand where that came from. I am talking about the Leerburg tug short videos. Did you think I meant abuse or something? Sorry, I'm just not following what you mean.
My plan is to move on to focused heeling, retrieve, and finishing work when we have completed food DVD. On the side (not as a reward in case he doesn't like it), I will see if he takes a liking to tug, then go back to the tug video if he does.
