I feed femmer bones to pups & young dogs with no problems. But stop with aggressive chewers by a year or so. Depending on the individual dog. I have a dog that chewed a chunk off of aggressive chewer nylabon. Tossed it & never got another. The don't desolve if they invest pieces.
Some. Adult dogs the don't chew aggressively are fine with them. But they can upset their GI tract if allowed to eat too much of the marrow in the. Bone all at one time.
But with anything hard ...Keep a check on this dog to be sure that he doesn't' crack a tooth
I usually take the bones away when I see they have gotten all the marrow out of the bone. I just toss them each one out in the yard with a few feet of distance between them & off the go. I do stick around to make sure they stay with their on bone. I have never had any problems with my 3 GSDs
