very nice. From your description of how she originally was, she has come so far!
Unfortunately I'm from Victoria, so all bitework (if its attached to a part of your body) is illegal. So its hard to even find someone to mentor you in this state or work with.
Uzbekistan in the late 70's did not have security like Facebook privacy settings.
Thanks, Guys. She started out not wanting to hold object and looking at me when I threw a ball. I worked and worked to get her to play tug. Unfortunately, she broke a canine and I aggravated a herniated disc, so we can't play as rough as she would like anymore. We still agitate her and give her some bites, just because she enjoys it so much.
i don't think i've ever seen dogs have as much fun as i saw last week in decoy class .
Bingo, Ian!
You should see the look on my face when some old timer says that bitework is cruel or makes dogs aggressive. Modern training techniques make the work gratifying for the dog. Once a dog begins to learn the work, they start going into drive on their own, and if you are training in a group, each dog will express his frustration at having to wait his turn.
It's been said here before... Bitework is one of the most satisfying things a dog can do.
