Great pics!
I really like the name Fenn.
Fine Irish name...........for a Belgain but perfect for the St. Pat's day parades.
Yrs ago I had a Kerry Blue terrier named Rocky.
Short for Graburt's Rock o' the Emerald Isle CDX.
Never did get in a parade with him though. Go figure!

There is a bit of a story that kind of relates to her call name...
A few days after losing Caterina, I had all my dogs together for a cry session. I told them that the next dog I was going to name Infinity (because that's how long she will be with me) and her call name will be Finn. Well, the next day I got the email from Cindy about Fennec... I told Cindy that the Universe might be dyslexic
I got my own name from my grandmother's maiden name - Kelly. My brother is from the other grandmother's maiden name O'Brian. So I had to have at least 1 Irish named dog, right??!!

Wolfhounds, you need WOLFHOUNDS I had a pair : Breegh (silent "gh" Irish style) and Brogue -- My bitch Major Acres' Jean Breegh, Field Champion was also a Lure Courser of Merit and is still ranked high up in the All-Time Standings, more than 30 years later ... They are GREAT sighthounds & make Terrific personal companions !!!

I have always loved the look of the Wolfhouds, and I think I will have one someday - at this time, however, Paul feels that the 72lbs that Toni carries is plenty big - especially when she steps on his bathing suit parts.

LOL, I hear ya (bit like having a Horse step on ya, HA) -- Even so, the trick is to get a pup from Very HOUNDY LInes, NOT from "Mastiffy" lines ... My bitch at 30 inches was 105 pounds of pure Muscle (my male at 36 inches was a "lean-mean" 135 or more) and she used to take Best in Field over Whippets & Greyhounds while Lure Coursing, but he was not quite that fast & agile. And to top it all off, IWs are also a quick-study in Obedience Work !!! Plus they are SO BIG that they don't jump up on folks & are not interested in Clambering onto Furniture (at least mine weren't)

The downside to the Wolf hound is they can be prone to bone cancer and probably live and "average" of 6-8 yrs.

Well, my male lived 12 years, and my bitch lived to be 14 -- Neither of them ever had cancer ... They never really had any ailments, never lost their vision or hearing, never got arthritis or had any joint problems, never became incontinent or senile (I count myself quite fortunate when it comes to health of all my past dogs)

I was thinking the same thing! When Candi said this about her Wolfhounds:
"They never really had any ailments, never lost their vision or hearing, never got arthritis or had any joint problems, never became incontinent or senile"
I was thinking to myself, yep, that sounds like a wish many of us humans over a certain age would be having for ourselves!
