I am sorry, maybe I am in a bad mood because I am sick, but I think some people here need a major reality check. I don't care what drive the dog was in, to bite a five year old on the head enough times to require 12 stitches is a bit out of my "it was an accident" accepting abilities. I understand that you do not like the bad press associated with the breed, but to say because the kid is still walking it is ok isn't going to impress anyone. Yes, I have owned 2 dobermanns and I know that they have a bad reputation to begin with but I would be just as critical of the neighbors cocker if that was the case...
At any rate, Ed isn't too thrilled with this thread, and frankly I am not either, so it is closed... go cry about the plight of your wonderful breed and the media somewhere else. Dog bites are serious.
