So, just for the record. CZECH (read also as check, czeck, cezch, and czek <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> )DOGS SUPER SUCK.
I THINK THEY ARE THE WORST POSSIBLE DOGS ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET, AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE BUYING DOGS FROM OTHER BLOODLINES!
So, stay away from my Czech dogs.
yeah, stay away from my Czech dog too, he super sucks in protection work!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

stig posted:There are still some good DDr dogs around, we had one standing for stud a while ´here in sweden, but he is now in tjeckoslovakia, he is a very serious dog and NOT soft. His name is Baro vom Kretschauser Land, info and pedigree on jinopos
Butch: Todd Gaster has pups on the ground out of BARO. That alone tells me he must be a producer.
Great DDR dog crossed with Great Czech female!
A bit short it says, " Fax has a very high hunt and preydrive and a high but controlled fightdrive and he is a honest dog that are willing to cooperate, he´s nerves are perfect. My decoy friends(Denmarks best helpers) calls fax the black devil, it´s fax that puts the pressure on the helpers and not the other way araound"
The breeder also mention that he has studied the BSP results in recent years, and the 15 best dogs are carrying DDR blood.
I wouldn't call Baro a DDR dog. He goes back to Canto v Amicos (sz 1527257). He was a totally West German show dog. At a recent trial in Czech they had him in the same line as 100% show dogs.
They also advertise the dod as being used extensivly by the Swedish Police. That's a bit hard when the Swedish police don't breed dogs. I might get my friend in Sweden to go through his breedings and see how many litters he has had and who owned them.
Fax is owned by an Australian and he will be comming over here in the not too distant future.
From all accounts he is a very good dog.
Plus he's a Dolf son <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It´s correct that Baro isn´t a 100% DDR-dog, but he sures look like one! Canto v Amicos is the only westgerman dog in that pedigree, Cantos father was jupp vom haller farm, and he was not a pure showdog, he was a good dog that is common in many westgerman working pedigrees, these dogs are also far back in the pedigree. The reason why he was taken to sweden was not that canto was in the pedigree, it was Yago vom haus valentin that was the reason why the swedish breeder who had Baro wanted to try Baro as a stud. Yago vom haus valentin won the eastgerman policedog-championship three years in a row.
Baro was in a show for stud-dogs, not a traditionall dog-show. In tjeckien they have showcompetitions for only stud-dogs, and there the bloodline doesn´t matter so much, only the type. You are correct that the swedish police doesn´t breed their own dogs anymore, but several K9-officers have bought pups after Baro, and they look very promising, according to the breeder. Baro would have no problem to work as a PSD.
