Finally some info I can use. Thank You Van Camp. I did go back and look at some of the old topics and I am starting to get an idea. Thank you for the help and the point in the right direction.
What part of the country do you live? Perhaps some of the local SchH people could steer you toward Czech dog owners. Maybe even watch a few training sessions, or trials with some of the dogs' you get to meet. Then you could start getting some first hand ideas based on what you see to add with some of the info you get here & other places.
I live in Western Tennessee. I do belong to a DVG Schutzhund Club. The dog that I have came from a female in our club. I have seen, and worked, other czech dogs working in our area and in the region. I am just looking at what breeding options I have in the future. I was interested in getting a PS dog,but an earlier post stated it was difficult to get one of their dogs.
It's deff more difficult to get one now that Jiri has left but you can find them running around if you know where to look. I think your best advice is to speak to Jiri as he would have the best shot. We have a PS female that we got from him about 3 years ago.
We have just got our new female out of quarentine and she is a Tom PS (Cordon An-sat son) daughter. Her mothers lines go back to Art z Lipin, Grim PS and Omar BZ.
Don't overlook Czech dogs that dont have PS dogs in the pedigree as these can be some of the best around. Eron, Bob, Car, Bonny, Cordon are some of the best producing Czech lines and have little to no PS influence.
I would never buy semen from Canine Biotech.
Frank the dogs I mentioned are
1. Eron Mat-roz
2. Bob Hozmi
3. Car z Kostolanskej cesty
4. Bonny z Koroseckych zahrad
5. Cordon An-sat
