In further news to piss us all off, someone that had large and well placed signs warning about their dog was sued . And do you know why they were sued and lost?
Because the idiot that opened their gate in an attempt to go into their backyard ( said idiot had three, count them , three previous convictions for B&E ) spoke *no english* ( despite his ten years of illegally living in this country..mainly in Correctional facilities ) and the sign was not in *spanish*. In the state of Michigan, for God's sake!!!
What the h*ll is wrong with today's court systems?!?
I'm trying to find the link to the news story...it's kind of old. Man, was I pissed off when I read that.
Drifting OT. Some of the guys I drink with on Friday evening work at Diebold. That's the company that makes most ATM's. I asked them about the Braille a while back.
The buttons and signs used Braille for a number of reasons. The short answer was, "It's for the blind guy in the back seat. He can also walk from the passenger side of the car to the ATM and use it that way."
I think by now most of you know I have three GSD's, but I also have a great JRT, and I have a sign that has a picture of a JRT and it says, "I Can Make It To The Fence In 3 Seconds, Can You ?
The little guy don't have much of a Bite, but he has got a good Barker.
With the popularity of schutzhund in Germany , What is the dog law there , pertaining to signs ?
Beware of dog , Dog on premises , Family pet on premises , etc Does anyone know ?
I have always been confused as to the proper signage needed .
First insurance co. said I needed a beware of dog sign on every side of my property that could be seen (incase someone was inclined to jump my six foot high fence)and in every window ,door or way into the house.Seemed excessive so didn't do that
Second ins. co. said oh good you have a dog !
Implying that was a good thing to deter B/E
U.S.A got love it ! It's the only country I have !
