California, are BIG. They could scent one and chase it down, but their fearless nature would get them into trouble. To small. . . Dogo Argentino would be my choice for that work. I've seen video of them with smallish boar and large puma, one-on-one. WOW. . .

I'm a distinguished Oregonian, we drink $5 dollar cups of coffee, only throw back $12 6ers of micro-brew, and walk around in Berks or Docs, reading and chatting about the environment or other related issues of importance :rolleyes: . Then we get in our $40,000 SUVs and toddle off to the temperate rainforests to hunt our dogs and hug some trees. I bury the nutria, they aren't worth piss.
