Her coat is sleek and shiny and her stools aren't smelly anymore. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> A friend of mine orders this food from the manufacturer direct and she and another friend distribute it themselves. So far this has made it quite convienient for me to get it, but I wish more pet/feed stores would sell it. We have been petitioning the local stores to start carrying it. Before now, I had not heard of anyone outside of our area who feeds it so I'm glad you also like it! I was very relieved to have found a dry food that is actually good for my dog since I don't have the time or resources to feed raw. Innova Dog Food Take a look for yourself Leute mögen Hunde, aber Leute LIEBEN ausgebildete Hunde!

I am not arguing that it's no better than kibble--it usually is. I would probably feed raw if I could, but I can't. There is not a butcher or even a chicken farm in our area and it's just too expensive to buy the meat and bone off the grocery store shelves. Plus there is the time element involved. I am not too familiar with Innova but I do know that it is extreamly high quality and Nutro is at least a lot better than Science Diet. Blackwood actually contains bone meal in its ingredients. I recently found chicken backs and necks for 50 cents a lb at the local grocery store in 2 lb packs thawed and ready to feed (they even come in pretty packaging)! They were right next to the thighs, much to my amazement. I'll add other bones as well, but in a pinch I always have an easy meal down the street. This is a chain grocery store so it isn't impossible to find food when there isn't a local butcher. I plan on making the veggie mush and freezing it so that I only have to do that once a month.
