Well this is all preliminary and speculation at this point as they are running blood and urine test ......The blood test will answer that question as well as some other import things regarding her liver and kidneys. So I am waiting for the results......
This all sounds hopeful. I'm so glad that tests are underway.

Well the test came back and they were not conclusive. Dr said her white and red blood cells were a little high but not alarmingly high. Her calcium and prosperous levels were normal, negative for any parasites and heart worms, negative for urinary infection, uterus and other major organs appeared normal.
Green urine was observed but the reason isn’t conclusive other then maybe the old blood crystals which is questionable in my opinion and no indication why she would have old blood in her urine. He did also say her urine was very concentrated and encouraged extra fluids. We ruled out diet/veggies as the culprit for the color.
Her temp is up a little. She is might be clearing something just not sure what???? If her symptoms change they will see her again. Otherwise we’re stumped.
Thanks for all your concern and feedback. I know there are a lot of helpful caring people on this board and I appreciate you all very much!

Well, the one positive step to take is a good one for a slight fever anyway (extra fluid), and it's also good for the body's efforts to eliminate something toxic. Boy, that grooming burn/reaction is looking worse in hindsight, and it looked bad enough at the time........
When I had a dog who had to have increased fluids, I started adding yummy water on the food (meaning water in which I boiled a piece of non-fatty meat; no-sodium commercial broth would work too). This meant she was slurping that up even if she didn't feel like drinking from her water bowl.
And raw and canned both contain a lot of water, too, unlike kibble.
Also, this is just me, but you might agree: I would take her temperature every day or so until she seemed recovered. As in people, it's often a first indication of something awry.
Eating, drinking, eliminating comfortably; no lethargy, pain, or fever -- the biggies, in general.
Just my own expeience/research -- nothing professional here.

How were the protein levels in the urine/blood? Exactly a year ago (dog spent the Xmas holidays at the vet) one of my males had dark urine and various other symptoms that led me to take him to the vet. After blood and urine tests after tests as well as ultrasounds and biopsies, it came down to Nephrotic Syndrome that is either caused by severe food allergies or glomerulonephritis - depending on whether you went with the specialist's diagnosis or the local vets. Long story short after over 5K in vet bills I decided to "split the baby" and the dog gets a hypo-allergenic diet and meds for the glomerulonephritis. So far so good with that plan. Hopefully it all works out for you.

Julia, have you by chance given her any new vitamins or even existing vitamins which have fairly high doses of vitamin B in them, this could be the reason behind the green urine, and the less she drinks the greener it would become. If this is the case then it is totally harmless.

Hi, I was just going to add that my dog really 'goes for it' when he's sleeping- growling, crying, yipping and legs all over the place, but he's always done it so I leave him to it. Hope everything turns out o.k and she is able to start afresh in the New Year.

Petra,
No I haven't given her any vitamin B directly as a supplement that I am a wear of.
After she had the nasty chemical burn from the grooming shampoo her entire outer layer of skin has been pealing away much like when we get a bad sunburn, only worse. I have been giving her Vita-Derm to help restore her skin. I don’t know if you have ever seen cradle cap but that is what her skin looked like from head to toe… layer after layer of dead crusty skin. It is just now starting to look better.
It contains: fish oil, vegetable oil, Lecithin, d-alpha-tocopheryl, fish liver oil and beef liver flavor.
I am not sure if any of these items are rich in Vitamin B???
I give her a can of tuna a couple times a week and raw eggs a couple times a week, I am not really up to date on the nutritional contents of these things.
But I am studying up this very moment, with Dr. Pitcairns, Natural Health for Dogs and Cats in hand.
Thanks for the tip. I will look more closely at the labels and see if there is a correlation.
Thanks again!

Eggs are high in B vitamins, I believe, but many people feed a few a week with no problems.

Jeff - are you bi-polar.
Knock it off and treat people repsectfully or go play in someone elses sand box.
Last warning.
I haven't logged in to Leerburg since last December in part because of the hideously rude statements you made to me. Since you had no problem humiliating me in public... this is pleasurable.
Every time I have thought of an since then ~ baby you have come to mind. I pray to God I meet you on the competition field one day. I will spit on you and your dog. Your are a scumbag and I will take pleasure letting the world know. Trust me.
You don’t have a clue what your rudities do to people really. I am here to tell you. Please don’t ever be mistaken. You are a dream crusher. You are a loser and the world would be a better place with out you. I will make sure everyone knows of you. :-)with pleasure.
rant over... feel better... beware.
Cindy's comment: Julia, you are no longer welcome on this board. We don't tolerate inappropriate language on this board. I am sure Ed will be commenting shortly.

This will be the last time Ms Tompson posts to my board. We edited out the swearing - nothing like trying to kill a 6 month old dead horse.
Wont be tollerated here.
