I think I remember you saying loooong ago that you really didn't like typing anyway <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> You need one of those voice activated typing thingy's <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I thought you guys might be interested in an update on Junior. I spoke with Will last week and he is the best! I got a lot of help just from that conversation including using an ecollar for distracting him from those little prey dogs, squirrels, rabbits, etc that he stalks. During that time, I also got a tip for a guy here that does the Schultzhund and raises GSD (gorgeous, impressive ones)to do kind of an evaluation on him. My trainer friend also went with me. So, between the three, I really have a much better idea about my dog now. One thing the guy along with my trainer here pointed out to me is after Junior raises his hackles but before he charges in to investigate, he slightly leans back or steps back and either glances at me or barely tilts an ear back as if to say, what do you want me to do. Since I don't respond (because I had no idea) then he takes charge himself and reacts the way he wants to. Also when doing obedience work, he just barely takes his eyes off me but he does and loses focus. Little did I know that things were so subtle! Now I know! He seems to think that Junior doesn't want to be in charge and would be much happier if I have step it up so he doesn't have to be. I know I have work to do, but I am so relieved to know which way to go!
Anyway, I won't bore you anymore. I thank y'all for helping and pointing me in the right directions!
Gald it's working out and that you found a local trainer to set eyes on your dog for a better evaluation! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
