I thought my boyfriend was the only person on the face of the earth who had bags of compressed dog hair....I was wrong here!!! Look on the Pyr websites for spinning information, pyr undercoat yarn is suppose to be even more softer and warmer than cashmere. What do you think a dog hair sweater smells like on a damp day?
I did find a 'use' for hair....I always had complaints if I mailed a package with those peanuts it in, so I started using dog hair instead. I was the only one who saw the humor in that one!
I have a hat & scarf set from a sled-dog outfit in Caribou Crossing, Yukon (Canada) we visited while cruising Alaska's Inside Passage -- It's as soft as Angora wool & has NO "wet dog smell" in the rain, ha-ha <:-)
