Yeah I agree with what you said about the difference between Ed and Cesar. I'm wondering what do Cindy, Ed, and all those other moderators think of Cesar's style. I think it is quite impressive to see Cesar keep a large group of dogs behind his lead while he's out on the walk or skate. I do give Cesar a lot of credits for his hard work because he is deffo a street smart when it comes to dogs.
"It's better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right"
Well, I like the education that he gives pet owners - it's "reality therapy" in my view, and it clears up a lot of misconceptions that so many novice dog owners suffer from.
However, we see only a *tiny* part of his training as so much of it is lost in editing, etc. So I don't really think that any of us actually know his true training style and that makes our comments speculative, at best.

I was at a Cesar Millan Seminar last Summer in Davis, California. He (and his wife) seemed to be reasonable, friendly, results-oriented people that love dogs and want to help the "average" dog owner cope with dogs that have problems. I don't think his methods are new to most people on this site.
To those of you that read Cesar's book, Can a red zone dog actually be " rehabilitated" to the place it can be placed back into society? Once a dog has reached the "balance" is it rehabilitated or is that balance a precarious thing?

I just got back from Sam's Club and I noticed that they had the first season of Cesar's show on DVD.
I don't find the show *that* entertaining that I'd want to own it, but I do have all the season's of South Park on DVD, so what do I know? <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I don't know what you know, but I know you have good taste! <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> South Park is ROTLFLOLF
will, did you know that south park did a cesar millan episode? it's the only south park i've ever seen, and it was hilarious. though i probably didn't get all the inside jokes since i've never seen "dog whisperer" and i hadn't seen any other south park.
it was the first week of may. i remember because i was visiting my brother, who has tivo, and he had recorded it.
I wonder if he isn't so popular because we enjoy the subject,
and he sounds like Ricky Ricardo, the voice we grew up with.
No disrespect intended, I like the guy.
It appears we only respond about the personality of another trainer but no real discussion about the substance in his material or claims. A South Park episode holds attention better than any real discussion. To bad, I had hope for better.
