Jason, have you checked out the Yahoo group list mentioned previously? I don't have an EPI dog, but a dog owner who trains with us has one, and swears by the value of that group in addition to another friend who has an EPI dog.
Since you are in Northern IL, you might also be interested in the enzymes - there is a group of people (inc the person who trains with us, and the other friend who we just know) who go together on these enzymes to buy them in large bulk, and save all of them a significant $$ amount and % on their annual needs.
Keep reading up on this problem, and on best foods. I somehow don't Think Royal Canin will be at the top of your list once you do all the research. But I can't say that out of hand since I'm not dealing directly with EPI.
