Love the new board style and format! The only thing that I liked better about the old board was the colors. The white background and grey highlights seems harder on my eyes but it could be just me. Thanks to all the Leerburg behind the scenes folk who worked hard to make this board even better!
I swear, I see the names of the last posters. For instance, look at the topic titled Stamina in Working Dogs. On the left underneath it says by Francesco C. (sorry I forget the rest) but I know he is the one who started the post and on the right underneath "POSTED" the 45 minutes and 20 seconds it says:
Francesco C. and if you go into the topic he is the last poster!

Thanks for all your research! I've enjoyed reading it.
To answer your question, if you're in the active topics area, you'll see four main headings: subject, forum, poster, posted. Looking at the "posted" section, you should see "last posted" and an underlined time like "6 min, 30 seconds ago" Clicking in the underlined time should bring you to the last poster.
Ryan and I were talking today - the "active topics" is in fact just a search queue. So hitting the browser refresh doesn't actually REDO THE SEARCH - it kind of lock up. Probably something the board designers are going to have to work out.
I too like the way the active topic used to show the last poster and a sentence of information. Ryan spent a few hours on this today until I pulled him off the project so he could work on automating the capture of our old video tapes so we can stream them.
We are hiring a part time computer programmer to help Ryan who is full time here at Leerburg. When that gets done we will see what they can do with the active topics.
Tomorrow I am going to have Ryan look at the notifications for the Private Messages.
To have the web board NOTIFY YOU when you have a private message you need to go to MY STUFF>MY PREFERENCES> then half way down the list is a box to check
Then you will get an email when someone sends you a PM -
Here's another example, this thread...Leerburg is under POSTED at XYZ minutes XYZ seconds and they are the last poster until I hit submit, then I'll be listed there.
Also the same thread about stamina in working dogs. Mike Sanchez is the last poster and his name is up there in the POSTED column.

Not to me. Neither one!
