Fair enough. I can't comment on the soundness of any of your dogs - they could all be champions for all I know - I just wanted to comment on the rather admirable way you defended your dogs/breeding in your post.
I'm sending you a PM on a funny (sorry) typo you have on your website ! You'll want to correct it, I'm quite sure.
So, I do hope all your dogs are as healthy as you say. If they are, then good luck to you and in all your breeding endeavors.
Judy

Hi Angel,
My original comments were to the dog in the picture which looks a bit odd or photo shopped. I am sure your actual dog does not look like this.
I would like to see all working dogs worked, sorry, but I have a problem with conformation shows. Nothing more than a beauty pageant without even a "talent" portion.
I was referring to the section of your website called "awards" not "site awards".

I got an email this morning from a fellow breeder, stating I my male Egorka is being discussed on this web forum. After reading all of the comments you all had to say, I could not wait to register as a member so I could respond.
I hope that you didn't sign up just to respond and protect your dog and kennel only(if that were the case, it would be a waste of time-in my honest opinion). If this is not the case, then rock on. I hope you stay on and ask questions and help other people that need help.
First, I want to start by saying...I don't understand why people have the nerves to steal photos!!! My wife, Liz Gutierrez, is the web designer of my site. It states on the bottom of every page that no photo is to be taken without permission from me. Does nobody believe in following copyrights any longer.
I don't think the person was trying to "steal" your photo.
Second, I don't understand why so many people in the "forum community" are so excited about ripping down a dog and kennel without any facts. If you had any questions about my dog, why did you not just email me? I could have easily answered any questions you might have had.
This is a forum and people do discuss things, some people do "rip" topics up and don't know the facts(it happens, it's a forum) and I'm sure if someone was really, truly interested in your import and wanted to inquire about him, they would have on your site.
I do not appreciate people talking about me as if I am an uneducated breeder who is here to ruin the breed. I show, train, and handle all of my dogs. No, my dogs are not world champs or schutzhund champions, but they are excellent dogs from the best bloodlines in the world.
I can understand that you don't want to be discussed in a negative way as a breeder and have your reputation ripped up(I don't believe that the people in this forum meant any harm, they just didn't know the facts)And you have answered Q's and concerns that people brought up. I'm glad to hear that your Russian import is in great health and is doing great due to your knowledge and concerns for him.
I love Rotties, and can't wait to talk my fiance into getting one(talked him into a GSD, don't think it'll be too hard to get him to buy a rottie)

umm, just wanted to point out no one violated your copyright. i'm not a lawyer, but per USC t17 s107, i would say that the way in which your photo was used falls under "criticism", "comment" and perhaps even "teaching".
the original poster also makes/made no profit from your work, and used only a small portion of it (two photos out of how many?). i don't think any judge in the land would find copyright violation from such a trivial use.
also i shudder at your use of the words "reputable" and "russia" in the same sentence.
but other than that negativity, good luck with your breeding. i hope you love your dogs as much as i love mine.

Hi Angel,
I'm the guy who posted the pics of your dog. I apologize if you felt you were being critizised as a breeder by this thread and I think you are right that we shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about your breeding program and your dogs without having enough info.
When I started this thread I didn't even know who the dog was or who it belonged to. I saw the pics on another Rottweiler mailing list and decided to post them here. On that list, just like on this forum, people started wondering if the dog was mixed with a bigger breed, and then one member said the dog's name and stated he was purebred. After that I got curious and did a google search and that's how I found your website. I never photoshopped any of the pics to change the dog's appearance like someone said in one of the posts above. Since everyone here were asking questions about the dog I decided to post the link to your website so they'll be able to get a bit more info about the dog.
I think it's great that you came here to defend your dog and give us more info about him. BTW, I don't think anyone here critizised the dog's breeding, they were just a bit shocked about the dog's size. I guess with some people looking to breed huge oversized Rottweilers most people just assumed your dog was just another product of the "superior sized Roman Rottweiler" mentality, which I totally understand you found offensive.
By looking at your other dogs, I wonder (and it would be really cool if you could share with us) what you think would Egorka add to your breeding program. Because I have to be honest, I like your other dogs better and from what I can see on the pics I'm not sure I like his front legs and his back, but that of course is just an opinion and I don't consider myself any kind of Rottweiler expert.
Cheers
Luis

Luis, I wasn't trying to imply that you photoshopped the picture, I was trying to say (as politiely as I could) the dog looked odd it the photo, like maybe the angle that the photo was taken made it look that way. I mentioned photoshopped, but never thought that you did that on purpose.

Angel,
I looked at your website and you have some very nice dogs! Some beautiful bitches! I owned a rottie bitch many years ago that resembled a couple of yours.
Best of luck with your dogs.
Regards,
Debbie
