I'm having a hard time finding the little packets of Mayo & relish. I went to regular grocery store & costco. I'm thinking maybe Smart & Final? Any other suggestions?

Can someone please tell me what I'm supposed to write on the Customs Declarations & Dispatch Note under "description of contents"? Do you list every single thing & the quantity or is there something generic I can write that's acceptable?
Please disregard, I just went back to the link Connie provided. It answers just about any question you could think of!
Susan, there are tuna packets that already have them in the packages if you look for them. I sent the guys regular tuna packs as well as some flavored ones for a little variety.
and yes, you have to list everything it was kind of a drag to have to do that at the post office...if anyone wants to participate, go to the post office and get the boxes/forms and take them home with you. It's MUCH easier to put them together on your kitchen table than on the little table at the PO with 20 people getting hacked at you taking up the whole thing and making the line slower ooops!

Thanks, I wish I had bought the kits with the tuna fixins in them too. Peter (my better half) is going to ask a friend of ours who has a coffee shop if he has any mayo & relish packets.
The tabocco shop had 4 different kinds of Copenhaggen & being as I don't use it I didn't know which to buy. I got "coppenhagen Straight longcut" whatever that means!
Also, I couldn't find the extra big wet ones you mentioned, so I got the regular ones, but they are individually wrapped, which I thought might be handy for them to stick in their pockets.
Cheese Whiz comes in all kinds of various shapes/sizes & containers. I got the kind in a plastic squeeze bottle, I hope it's ok.
The guys probably don't have the time to write everyone who sends stuff to them, so if anyone hears from them about special stuff or hears from them regarding the type of copenhagen, whiz, corn or flour tortillas, etc., I sure would appreciate it if they would post the likes/dislikes/special treats so we can know for the next care package shipment.
You know, I never had kids, so for me it's kind of fun to send these care packages!
Susan, not that this matters, but the straight and long cut refers to the size and length of the tobacco product...the longer stuff isn't as gritty and is less likely to be swallowed..gulp!
the longer cuts also are easier to move around your mouth and get out of your teeth...yummy.
my dad used the stuff for 20 years+...he also used it to worm our dogs when I was a kid!!!
dog wormer or enjoyable tobacco product? you be the judge...
has anyone heard from the guys, yet? it's been nearly a month...just wondering.
Actually I heard from Jeff just today (which is nice as we usually go for 4 to 8 weeks with no word at all).
He is at Bagrham AFB in Afghanistan waiting for a slot to get on a plane to Kuwait and then from there to the states for his mid-cycle pass. He gets 18 days of leave and then back until next May.
He is traveling with Rosa (one of the soldiers our board members have mailed packages to). Rosa and Green have received your packages. I want to tell everyone that they are both humbled and very appreciative.
It has taken Jeff and Rosa a week to get from their firebase in the mountains 1/2 mile from the Pakistan border to Bagrham. They are in pig heaven :-) - they came from a 39 man firebase where they get 1 hot meal a day and cold showers from a raised 55 gallon barrel to living in a tent across the street from a Dairy Queen. :-) He said they have gained 3 pounds and are trying to eat non-stop to stretch their stomach so they can eat good food when they get home.
I am very proud of my son - two weeks ago he saved the life of an Afghan soldier that had been ambushed and shot in both legs and the shoulder. The man will survive because of what he did. Jeff is not a medic but the 82nd does an excellent job training their paratroopers in emergency combat meds. There was no medic with his team at the time.
