Oh how may times a day should I feed, if he is diabetic and they have not mentioned that he is, but you feel he may be, then shouldnt he have serveral small meals a day ??They only feed once in the am...that by my standards for any dog is not enough..I have always fed large dogs twice and small dogs free feed

Absolutely several meals for this underweight sick dog.
BTW, QUOTE:

(Just to back up what we are saying about the grainy kibble.)

Don't cry. He will be blessed with some comfort and care and good food. We all die one way or another, and if it's his time, then he will have the easiest kind of passing with a friend by his side and no fear.
Be calm and collected and give the dog the reassurance of knowing he has a protector.

No. You had no way to know he was going downhill like that. Forget that kind of thinking. It's no help to him or to you. Who knows when "too late" is or was?
You are going to help him, either to recover or to have a good death..... and I say: Good for you.

Well, you are right: Either way is a blessing to this guy.
Just wanted to add, in case it wasn't clear..... the important food for him is the meat (and bones when he's ready in a day or two, after getting used to raw). And the important supplements are the fish oil and the vitamin E.
The produce is meant to give him a little variety and some vitamins, but not in big quantities. You don't want him to pig out on produce at the expense of meat.
