I, also, appreciate that this list is based on training and behavioral issues and not frou frou stuff. There are plenty of boards out there that cater to that type of stuff. However, it is nice not to have to wade through "fluffy is cute" posts everyday. The initiator of this thread seems better suited for other forums. I think Ed said it best - don't let the door hit you on the way out <shrug>

This is a sad day for me.

Anna
A pity that you are leaving, but if you are a serious minded Dog Owner then think again, You will get a lot of help and tips from here on this Forum as many of us have found out
You are not the only one frustrated at times, Me, being of a diffrent Nationality than American although there are many others besides me sometimes
i find answers from some of the Guys for the want of a better phase, a little Blunt and sometimes no answer at all, But then what the Hell i suppose they think it not worth answering or a bit of a stupid Question so i take it as it is, But i keep on putting forewards my views anyway.
Here you meet people from all walks of life but all with one thing in Common the Love of the Dog and they try and help each other as much as possible seeing they never meet, but frienships are made, it a great thing. Stick with us

Wait!! I havent had my say yet!! No locking yet!!!
Anna, seems to me that if you had any sense between those ears of yours you would have had the best of both worlds. If you have found another site that you like for "chit chat" you should continue to go there to get your "chit chat", however, when you need real sound advice that is in the best interest of your dog you could still come here. There are other ways to make a point and most of us here are pretty intelligent, GROWN UP, people that can have an open discussion w/you about why this forum is put together the way it is. I feel quite saddened to see you go and even more so for Chaos. Try and find another site that can offer you the accumulated years of experience that this site has to offer, I dare you. Good luck with your endeavors and I'll offer a small prayer for your dog.
Well said! I have joined more than one dog forum because each offers something different which benefits my dog or myself in some way.

Please don't forget the knitted hat as well nobody wants those pointy ears to get cold now that winter is here. Mike were you able to find that insulated pink dog nail polish with the sparkles? I think with Lyka's eyes it will look so sweet with that sweater and nail polish combo.

HEEHEEHEE!!!!
Too funny Mike.
Anna, I feel you deserve all the comments & teasing that you're getting. After ALL the thoughtful and helpful advice you were given for your dog's health issues, it seems highly offensive for you to huff & puff about this place being too stuffy for you and making a grand announcement over your departure.
Why do you think it is that the most knowledgeable and dedicated dog people end up here, and more importantly STAY here?
Think about it... and hopefully you will learn to be more considerate next time.
Foolish to give up such an invaluable resource for your dog, especially over such a trite complaint

LOL!!! Almost spit out my coffee over that one!!!
Heehehehe Geoff, that time you spent on comedycentral is paying off. Too cute
Hey Mike, if you get Lyka all dolled up with matching scarves, mittens, knitted hats for her lil pointy ears and sparkly pink (insulated, lol) nail polish - then maybe we could take it over to one of 'em fluffy chatty forums so you can post pics for us to fawn over
