LOL Connie and with that said I will butt in with a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" 29, right? Or wait is it 25? Yeah, you are turning 25
Edit: So I'm not too off topic, lots of good suggestions here in this post, and a valid topic I think. Catching dog aggression or territorial behavior that is unwanted at an early age is always best.

Well you're a spry fancy helpful lady no matter you age.
Ever notice that "spry" applies ONLY to old people!? When was the last time you heard someone say "Wow, that skate-boarder is spry!" or "My baby is walking now; he is so spry!"
And back to

Yes, catching it early in every sense: early in life and early in any given situation. Nip it in the bud!
Connie you sly old alpha, you didn't let all of us know. We could have planned a party!
Happy emmm 39th birthday Connie! ( balloons and confetti falling from the ceiling here!)
Happy Birthday, Connie. Loved the 'spry' remark. I'm almost spry, too.
Now for dog content:
When I took my pup to the vet's today (just to get her weighed, no vax or anything) there were, of course, dogs in and out.
She is 7lbs and 7 months old I had her on a halter instead of her collar (my mistake) so when she kept trying to bark at the other dogs, I finally put her in my lap and kept turning her head to look at me. I thought we would only be in there a few seconds, just to weigh her but I had to wait a while.
Was that the right thing to do?
Even tho she is a small dog, she seems to be very agressive (if that's the word for what she is doing) toward people and dogs i.e. barking, jumping on people. Probably still the puppy stage but I am trying to correct her from this with a pop on the leash.

That's probably what I would have done under the circumstances too.
