Maybe tallow isn't the right term - it's like suet or strips of fat - fresh.
Your one posting for liquid fish oil came up the Super C. I'm thinking your talking Grizzly Salmon Oil. We do use that, but our dogs have LOTS of hairy beards and it's quite messy and smelly. So I was wondering about a substitue.
Thanks Connie!!
Well, the fish oil can be stirred into something else. I mean, they don't really HAVE to stick their beards into straight fish oil, although they might like to.
You can mix it into plain unsweetened live-culture yogurt, for example.
Of course, you can use gel-caps, but say you have a fifty-pound dog -- that's five of the most common gel-cap size!
There are many deodorized fish oils, too.
Fish oil for humans offers a larger variety, and that's probably where I'd look if I didn't want to use Grizzly.
I use Nordic Naturals, but I don't have five dogs. And the total poundage of dogs here is pretty low because of the two small-breed adoptees.
