In what way? Have you gotten as far as loading your marker? Where do you run into problems?
I've turned into a walking marker training ad.

well, "loading the marker", IDK!! w/Brix, when i was trying marker training for the first time, i had treats with me all the time he was out of his crate, and if he offered me, or just did, a "sit" for example, i said "good sit", then treat.
i think with him i had a half-a$$ed idea of what to do, but did a fair amount of luring also for, for example, correct "fuss" position, which i named for him as "by heel", b/c when he was a young pup, club members had told me to mark ANY eye contact and name it "fuss". so i could tell him "fuss", he would immediately make and eventually maintain eye contact from wherever he was--but it didn't mean the basic position to him.
so understanding loading the marker may be a very good thing for me to get clear first! and i can experiment on Gracie

Here is a bare-bones simple command, almost as simple as, say, eye contact (which is a very good behavior to mark-reward) for after you have loaded your marker.
If the dog already knows a good sit, you can ask for sit, and the instant the butt touches the ground, mark (only once!), then reward.
If not, you can lure into the sit (which I am happy to describe if you have not tried that) and again, the second the butt touches the floor, mark and reward.
Remember that the marker means that the command is over. So you are not expecting a sit-stay at this point. Later you can extend the time between the butt-touch and the marker, but let's forget anything like that for now.
I found it much easier both to refine my timing and to teach marker work to other owners by focusing on very simple loading and then very simple commands for a while (like eye contact and sit).
Shaping and far more complex behaviors will follow, but I like starting simply and easily.

You will "get" its power with one simple command, but then just wait until you see where you can take this system here:

so loading the marker is simply teaching the dog that the mark, ie "yes", means a reward is coming. period.
once the dog gets that "yes" = reward, THEN i can start doing either behavior+"yes"=reward, or command (in Gracie's case, she knows "sit")+ "yes"= reward. assuming she sits, haha.
so with her, i'm going to start loading the marker this weekend (she's VERY food-driven, so that'll make it easy ).
luring i think i have down; Brix figured out quickly that only a perfect "by heel" = treat; if it wasn't perfect, i would just step away from him and try again. but i KNEW there was a more efficient way to do it--loading the mark would've made it easier/quicker for both of us. (i do miss my boy ).
so i'll play w/Grace some this weekend, and check out the link, and, i'm SURE, have more questions thanks, as always, connie, et al...

Think of marker training (word or clicker) as Pavlov's bell. The bell rings and the dog salivates even without food in view.
From my understanding and expierience, the dog starts to view the marker/click almost as a reward in itself.
As with any training, the timing is everything!

'Zackly! In fact, the video http://leerburg.com/219.htm has a section where Ed talks about Pavlov's Response.
Mine lick their lips even when they hear the marker that they know is for another dog.
