I have 7 dogs, 4 German Shepherds ranging in age from 2-5. A 6 year old Chihuahua, a 2 year old Jack Russell and an 8 month old Cairn Terrier. I also have 8 horses and 4 cats, and I'm the sole caretaker for everyone of them!
None since I moved out on my own. After building up an emergency fund I will be looking for a nice fiery terrier. Already located a raw food co-op and will be stocking up before getting the dog.

We have three at home but I am completely responsible for only one- dobermann Veeda. My man has a dachshund and my sister has a collie-mix (my trained so she could brag how smart and obedient her dog is ).
Since I am struggling with Veeda in IPO training (the only helper I truly trust lives in Czech...) but I really like the sport and want to compete one day, I am planning on getting another dobe. Everybody I know thinks I am crazy. My mom would want to put me in a mental hospital. I think only my man is as sane as I am and fortunately he is really the only one that matters
Sounds really impressive to me, it is a complete mystery to me how you do this , are you a farmer for a living? I had a horse also so I know how much work it takes.

No I'm not a farmer, but I do show and breed Spotted Saddle Horses and Tennessee Walkers, and on occasion my German Shepherds who are actually fantastic farm dogs that keep me company as well as protect the livestock from our absolutely horrendous Coyote problem up here.
I have loved horses my whole life and there care has become such a routine that to me it's just a part of my daily life, I don't know what I would do without both the horses and my dogs, I've had German Shepherds for over 40 years.
I have three rescue dogs. All terriors. From ages 2 to 1 year of age. Two females one male. I am training them all right now and hoping now that the weather is cooling down, to get out the agility equipment for them to enjoy. ALl of them are high energy, especially my jack russel mix, Cody.
I was wondering for those of you who have your own a packs of more than one dog what your training schedules are like. How much time do you spend over all training your dogs?
thanks
