Hey that's right - I forgot to mention that he drinks WAY LESS than when he was on kibble. I find it odd that it happened so quickly though. After his first meal he hardly drank in comparison to what his normal water intake was. This morning was even less - just a few quick slurps of water and he was no longer interested in water.
Like you/us after either a bag of crackers or dry cereal, or a plate of fresh food.

Real food is loaded with water.
Not to mention the lack of salt that is used in kibble.
I've noticed that when Turbo has eaten "solution injected" chicken that he drinks like a manic compared to normal.

Even with the water that our dogs get from raw food, it is a good idea to make sure that they still drink.
Oscar nearly never drinks out of his water bowl anymore, since we switched to raw. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but I always pour a little bit of water over his meals, just enough to cover the bottom of his bowl - between the salmon oil and the yogurt and the other flavorful juices in there at any given meal, he laps it right up and then I get to feel satisfied that I've done my duties as the warden of hydration.
