OK, as far as creativity goes, I thought the turtle, the camel, and the peacock are the best ones. The others are kind of freaky though. I thought Mallory's dog was cute.
Yes, Boulder, Colorado does have a law against dying pets. Of course, this is the same city that calles pet owners "Guardians". Boulder is a little weird though. If the dog isn't harmed, I think of it as "no harm, no foul".
When I was growing up in the early '50s there was a short-lived fad of poodle dyeing. I was probably about 8 years old before I realized poodles didn't really come in pink, blue and green! My Dad was a GSD man.
lol, the color is already coming out, he hasn't even had a for real bath yet.
i emptied 4 packets of the kool-aid into a cup, added warm water, and dipped each of his feet in the cup, dipped his tail in, and brushed it into his crest. he just sat there while i did it.

I suppose there are far worse things that people could do to dogs than give them silly haircuts. It's not my thing, but I have a hard time being critical of any owner that is providing food, shelter, love and vet care---because that's a lot more than many dogs ever get.
Jack, the brown standard poodle in my signature photo is now almost 9 months old, and people still ask me what breed he is! He came to us with a "poodle" haircut from his breeder...but it lasted one day. Now he get's it cut short all over, by me. No poodle 'do's at my house!
