My suggetion would be for you, and your friends, to volunteer at a local shelter. There you can see, first hand, what many of us
are talking about. Why you would want to contribute to this is beyond me! For a "one time deal!" What are you gaining?

You know I thought that as well. So I looked. It seems to me they have a very effective shelter system. Maybe not as organized as Petfinder but still pretty evident of dogs purebred and otherwise being easily available.
