Jess, that makes total sense i m actually gonna do that as soon as i see solid stools.
so when you say "caution against adding anything at all" you mean not adding anything like potatoes, squash or anything with fiber even while stools are loose just to calm his gut down?
Fiber is a good short-term solution to firm up the stools if that's the road ya want to take. However, the longterm goal would be to not be dependent on the fiber to keep the stools hard.
What I was mostly referring to was adding extra ingredients to put weight on him. I think he'll gain weight just fine once he's on track again. Don't want to shock his system with a barrage of calories.

It's a point of disagreement among raw feeders. I know people who do raw with no veggies ever, and I know folks who use veggies with every meal. I'm of the opinion that people should try both and see what works well for them, for my dogs I do raw with organs and veggies daily.
Gotcha! Believe me, a balanced diet is the least of my worries now. But i want it to be pretty soon bland diet it is.
I actually really miss cracking an egg in the mix!! He just loves it! Soon. Soon..
Be careful with eggs, that can be yet another diarrhea trigger if you aren't careful. You didn't mention that he was getting eggs before.... This is an important detail that could shed light on the situation. How much and how often was he getting egg?
