I'd rather the average stupid pet owner watch "It's Me or the Dog" than "Dog Whisperer", "Pitbulls and Parolees", or that horrible " Pit Boss " show...
I stop on that one once in a while just to hear him call them "pit boos"
....I like that whenever his dog doesn't get a part in a commercial or movie it's because he's a pit bull...not because uh...he's not actually trained to do anything O_O
Oh, I gotta check that one out.
if you can make it through 10 minutes of that show you deserve a cookie.....ug, the guy is OBNOXIOUS

The last show I was kind of happy with was Super Fetch. Stupid name with a nice use of clicker training.
The major problem with Stillwell is that her show is always set up like this: Dog has a behavior problem. Victoria to the rescue. Victoria observes and pretends to be appalled.Victoria berates the owners on their stupidity because everyone should just *know* how to train/keep a dog. Victoria applies remedy which has mixed results sometimes. We see a two weeks later conclusion where everyone is just peachy. The end.
I prefer Dog whisperer because I see an adaptation to the situation the dog is in and I almost never see him lose his temper with someone who doesn't know what to do. His methodology is a little weird and I understand the critic about his use of corrections but I like the evolution his show has gone through. It's less about the Criss Angel isn't he amazing garbage and more about methods and trains of thought.
Interesting stuff...I actually was watching Victoria Stillwell just this weekend and it was an episode where the dogs owner puts the dog in a submissive position using the Cesar method (using his fingers like teeth on the neck of the dog)
Victoria explains that she doesn't believe in that method and it only makes the dog more aggressive. The way she explains it it was obvious she was taking shots at Cesar. She said things like "Some people use this method to get a dog to submit and I dont believe in that".
I would also like to add that Cesar seems to connect human behavior and psychology to dog behavior. One of the things I have learned and I teach my friend to help them with their dogs is that dogs will often react to what happens in their environment.
My friends will say "I don't know whats wrong with my dog. 2 weeks after we brought her home from the shelter she started chasing her tail in the middle of the living room and wont stop. She is neurotic and crazy" I come to their house and their kids are wild maniacs running up and down the stairs, throwing pillws at each other and the parents are saying "pay no attention to them, they do this all the time".
