hi,
thanks.
yes, i use pretty good stuff for her treats. she's on the thin side so i'm not worried about creating a fat dog either! and i run her in trails a lot in the mornings -- she LOVES it!
treats seem like a more obvious treat then a tug toy but i should try the toy.
i was discouraged from using "tug" toys when i first got my dog. but we have "tugged" with her for fun with some of her toys. and i saw m. ellis's short video clip on how to use/play tug with a dog. i will try this too.

Christine i had these same problems. But not this bad. After talking to steve and a lot of other people, They basically told me the dog has to learn to play before working. I dont know if they told you this also. The marker training im a firm believer. Within 3 days my GSD drive is a lot better and she actually listens and is much happier. Dennis yelled at me too....lol....but all the stuff they told me helped me more then ever. Im still not using corrections. I just dont reward her for bad techniques and she caught on fast. Good luck...These people know their stuff.....
